Send E-Cards, Save the Environment
Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) is a Malaysian government-linked investment company that was established on 17 March 1978 as one of the instruments of the Economic Policy (NEP). With all the group subsidiaries combined, it has an estimated 1,500 employees. Every year they spend additional costs to send out greeting cards to their stakeholders, portfolio companies and vendors.
We were brought on board by del Suria to develop an internal e-card portal, exclusively for their employees to send interactive e-cards. As a result, they save printing costs every year, and their communications team are able to add new designs every year for their festive greetings and special events.

The E-Cards have a variety of choices in terms of design for each occasion (be it for New Year, Festive, Birthday or Congratulations, etc.). When a user selects an e-card of choosing, he/she can select different fonts, adjust font sizes as well type in a customized message. On top of that, they can change the e-card ‘stamps’ based on their subsidiary.
PNB Employees can send an e-card to a list of people, with each recipient receiving a personalized message. He/She can also track if their e-cards has been sent and/or opened for viewing.
E-Card Recipients will receive an email to view their e-card, which is nicely animated with music playing in the background. This makes it fun and trendy for employees to communicate with their peers, friends and loved ones.
